Display:
With the 18:9 screen ratio for this phone’s display, a lot can fit on the screen. Though most apps wouldn’t be designed for this size. Instead, Huawei adds the ability to use the full screen in an app automatically adjusting the display. And unlike many Android phones offers the ability to get rid of the navigation bar on the bottom of the display.
Battery:
With 3,000mAh, I found myself getting 2 days easily from this phone. With Oreo’s recent battery management tools, it is now super easy to keep track of high power consuming apps to close them. While the battery size was ideal, I was slightly disappointed that there was no quick charge functionality included here. That would have made for super easy charging but I quickly got over not having this feature!

Camera:
Let’s be honest. No one will be buying this phone for its cameras. Yes, it does have 2 outer cameras, but at 13MP and 2MP, it will be hard to get good quality shots. That being said, the quality is more than acceptable. You could easily get a printable photo and as long as there is enough light, the quality of the pictures should suffice.
Storage:
In the past, I have found phones with 2GB of RAM to be below acceptable speeds. On the other hand, the 3GB of RAM included with this phone is great and more than enough to power the phone.
There is also 32GB of ROM with this phone which is definitely large enough for most as long as you aren’t downloading movies and taking loads of videos. You can also insert your own SD to add more storage. With this phone, there are no variants available in terms of different sizes. While some might appreciate the option to adjust the storage size, 32GB/3GB is a perfect amount for most.
Value:
At £225, this phone is a steal for the quality and functionality you are getting from it. You will probably even be able to get it cheaper as the device becomes older. Honestly, you will be getting 80% of the functionality for 50% of the price which will make sense to those on a budget. That being said, if you’re looking for a high-quality flagship phone, you’re looking in the wrong place. This phone is for those looking for most of the flagship’s functionality.

Design:
The beautiful finish of this phone was one of my favorite aspects of the phone. It is very refined and is smooth to the touch. That being said, I highly recommend a case for it as it will slip out of your hand 🤚 non-stop without one. As the casing is not plastic, any drops will most likely cause damage.
